We are a group of Ocean County, NJ, 4-H volunteers that raise puppies for The Seeing Eye, where dogs are trained to guide the blind. We range in age from 4th grade to Seniors, but regardless of our age we all have the same goal: to raise the best Seeing Eye puppy we can.
A German Shepherd, Peaches, is posed in front of The Seeing Eye School.
The specially bred puppies, German Shepherds, Labrador Retrievers, and Golden Retrievers, are born at The Seeing Eye's breeding station. When the pups are brought to us, they are only 7 weeks old.  It is our job to teach them  basic obedience, give them social exposure, and most importantly, give them lots of love.  When the puppies reach the age of 14 - 18 months, they are called  back to The Seeing Eye in Morristown, NJ to start their formal training as a dog guide.
